Sister Stories
I joined Omega Pi during the first semester of my first year of University and I remained an active sister until the day I graduated. Omega Pi challenged me and shaped me into the person I am today. It gave me my best friends and so many amazing experiences. I’ve learned a lot about myself and acquired important life skills by taking on different leadership positions. The great thing about a Sorority is that everyone’s experience is different and it is greatly influenced by the way you approach it. The more you give to it, the more you’ll get out of it. You create your own path. It is a platform that empowers women and inspires us to be the best version of ourselves. When I look back on my Omega Pi journey I feel extremely accomplished. I gave so much to the active chapter over the years and I’ve received so much more from it. I am proud of the women that I’ve met along the way and confident that my future sisters will continue to encourage each other to accomplish whatever they want. I will forever be grateful for this experience that made my years of University unforgettable.
A video made by Miranda Frison #297 explaining why she chose Omega Pi.
"Omega Pi means something different to every sister. To me, it means a place I can always be myself without fear. That's an incredible thing to have. Even 25 years later, I still count my closest friends among the ladies and those I was active with. Sisterhood truly doesn't end when you get your diploma. When we say sisters for life, we truly mean sisters for life.
Throughout my time active in the sorority, I was able to grow, experience things that I always been afraid to do before. Hold positions such as Vice President, Pledge Facilitator, and Presidents. Positions that if anyone told me first year I'd hold would have thought they were crazy. The skills I learned throughout that time have served me better then even my classes did in my career. Giving me the confidence to strive for success and achieve it.
Someone once told me, 'you only get out of the sorority when you put into it'. I believe that to be true in most things but it was certainly true for me. Years later, joining the sorority ranks as one of the most life changing and meaningful events of my life and I wouldn't have it any other way. " - Allanah Jack Weatherby #135
